Rise of public services

The increased use of mobile internet sees African governments merging their services with the internet, with the aim of making services more accessible to citizens. A report by We Are Social, and Hootsuite showed that the African continent’s internet usage increased by 20% in 2018. Much progress has been made with African governments digital transformation and our e-Government report looks at how African states are providing e-services through online portals, biometrics collection and working with private corporations. The report highlights possible business opportunities while highlight challenges that businesses and governments can work to solve.
